Nasrin at Offset Structures recently conducted an investigation and prepared a structural report for me on a Victorian house where movement had been observed.

She was highly responsive and easy to work with, despite me being outside of the UK at the time, and went well beyond what I had initially expected. This including liaising with specialist contractors to obtain opinions and indicative remedial proposals, something that she suggested rather than waiting for me to request.

What really stood out was her willingness to combine her technical advice with practical commercial judgement. So as well as answering the questions such as "what has happened here?", and "what are the likely remedial options?", she was also prepared to give an honest view on more nuanced questions such as "what would you do next if you were in my position?". Our discussions were invaluable in helping me decide how to proceed, as much so as the report itself.

Nasrin was extremely professional and super responsive and clear throughout the process. We were worried about cracks and potential subsidence pre-purchase and she was able to meticulously diagnose every crack as well as well as determine if any remedial work was needed. She drew up a thorough report with contractor estimates which detailed the costs associated with remedial work on a property that we were looking to purchase. Nasrin is the best structural engineer that I’ve met in my life. Her work was of the uttermost quality. We hired her for a relative simple project which turned out to be a bit more complex in the end.
